Chaos di pagi raya.
My favourite (and also least favourite) time of raya at my grandparents house when i was little is during the early mornings before eid prayers. For some reason i always felt like theres over 500 people in the house and so many things happening at once. The kitchen would be busy at the crack of dawn-moms and aunties making last minute preparations for all the mouths they’ll have to feed. Bathrooms and ironing stations would already be occupied. Half of my cousins would be up and ready, and the other half would probably still be sleeping in the living room somewhere- struggling to wake up. Someone is lurking around the house to find the perfect ootd spot, and someone is being tasked to head out to 7 eleven to get more ice. It is quite fascinating to observe all these beautiful yet chaotic affairs. The chaos would then continue til midday and the house will fall silent again, for everyones obligatory afternoon raya nap.
